Free E-books! [Stuff for Getting Things Done]

I recently stumbled across a very cool site that offers free E-books.  The site is call WOWIO.  What is WOWIO?

WOWIO is a new kind of online bookstore that enables readers to download ebooks for free, using commercial sponsorships to compensate authors and publishers. Readers get free ebooks. Sponsors get a powerful new channel to communicate their message to precisely the people they want to reach. Publishers get a new means of distributing their books, expanding their readership, and monetizing their intellectual property.

I’ve only been using WOWIO for a few days now, but I’m impressed.  Quality E-Books (actual, real books!) for free.  Each E-Book has an advertisement included in the first few pages.  Other than that, the book are advertisement free.

There are a few limitations.

1. You have to register with a non-anonymous e-mail address.  That means, gmail, hotmail, or yahoo e-mail addresses can not be used to register.  The alternative is to use a non-anonymous e-mail address, a credit card (for verification purposes only), or a scanned picture of an ID card.
2. You can only download 3 E-books each day.
3. Currently, the E-Books are only available in Adobe PDF format.

If you can deal with those 3 limitations, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.  This is a great service.
