If you’re a sales manager or salesperson, you may have heard of Frank Bettger. He wrote a famous book, “How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling” in 1947 – the book Dale Carnegie called the most helpful and inspiring book on salesmanship he had ever read. It was he who convinced Bettger to write it.

If you haven’t heard of it, you’ve heard of Benjamin Franklin and his name will come up in a second.

I read it as a teenager, but it didn’t have much impact I’m afraid and I went on my merry way. Bettger said:
