Listen to Pandora anywhere [Hack Your Day]

pandora logoAbout a year or so ago I found a great service called Pandora. basically it’s an internet radio service, but instead of listening to stations, you can create your own. Just type in an artist or a song you like, and you can listen to similar music all day if you want.

I found that it works very well, I got to know many a new bands thanks to Pandora and I was happy as can be, until one fateful day when Pandora closed its doors to non-US listeners. This was not their choice, they had to do it, and I was really sorry to see them go. What’s really stupid behind the whole thing is that I actually went out and bought at least two CD’s because of Pandora after listening for about a month. The letter shown for us unlucky people is actually very nice and eases my tensions at least, the end “We share your disappointment” is particularly a good move.

There have been ways of listening for non-US people using proxies, but now there’s a global Pandora site, all you need to do is point your browser and go. Currently it says that they are experiencing technical problems, but according to Lifehacker it works, I’ll take their word for it. Hopefully it will be back online soon!

If you’re from the US, normal Pandora is open to you, you lucky person
