Football is supposed to be about fun, right?  Well, if you’re a fan of the Fighting Irish there hasn’t been too much fun this season, especially following last week’s triple overtime loss to NAVY - yikes!!  Well, ever the optimist, I’m predicting a big Irish victory tomorrow over Air Force.  Just for fun, I thought I’d share the following video with Irish legend Bob Golic.  If you love football, there’s not a better place in the world to be on a football Saturday.  The thing I love on this video is when Bob Golic makes reference to the moment when, as a player, you realize that you’re playing for something greater than yourself - in this case the history and legend of Notre Dame.  Isn’t that the way it is with many things in life?  Looking outside ourselves and at the bigger picture, whether that be work, family , our community, or even our world, puts day to day living in perspective.  So if you’re tired after a week of housework or dealing with "the man", relax and enjoy a great weekend, and then head back Monday filled with an attitude of being part of something bigger, something greater.
