Goodbye Qwest. Welcome to the 21st Century [Shawn's Thoughts » Productivity/GTD]

You have to wonder why the telco’s have chosen to bury their heads in the sand, and seem to prefer to lose business rather than adapt.  Oh well.  A little chlorine for the gene pool is usually a good thing.

I’ve been looking for a way to make using our cell phones at home more convenient, and I think I’ve found the solution.  The XLink lets us use our legacy phone setup over our cellular provider’s network.  We’re saving around $60/mo so far, and that’s not including the long distance charges we’ll save.

The system is cake to set up.  Plug it in, hook up the existing phone to the back of the unit, and create a Bluetooth partnership with up to three cell numbers.  Now, when the cell phones are at home, the old phones ring on an incoming call.  When it’s time to hit the road, grab the phone and go…  If you’re looking to save a few $ a month, buy this now.

Next step - fully integrate Grand Central into our flow…
