What To Do About Pain [Tech Rest]

When you have pain in your body, what do you do?

The other day, a
friend of ours told us that her husband was having some pain in his
back. She went on to say that he just needed to live with it because
she had been living with worse for years. Wow.

From time to time
we all experience pain of varying types and varying degrees. The vast
majoring of the time it can be overcome. As a runner and middle aged
person, I have had many pains. It took me over a year to overcome Plantar fasciitis . The point is I did not
say, “Oh well, I’m just going to have to live with this.” I did
everything I knew to do and then got help and did everything other
people told me to do.

So what can you do?

Pray. Many times you will either get healed or get wisdom as to how to get well.

Get other people you trust to pray. About a year ago I had a back problem. I went to a Healing Room . Was I nervous and skeptical? Yes. Did I get better as a result? Yes.

Search Online for help. There are many great sites that can offer good advice. One I like is WebMD
. Please understand I am not a physician of any kind. Any medical
decisions should be made between you and your physician. In other
words, use good judgment, talk to your doctor, and don’t sue me.

Go see a doctor or other health care professional.
We have great medical care in this country. We have great doctors and
hospitals. In addition, there are some excellent alternative medicine
providers. I have personally benefited from Chiropractic care.

Don’t give up.
This is the bottom line. I’ve probably got at least another 40 years in
this body. I refuse to give in to anything that is going to permanently
slow me down. Don’t give up!
