Digg for Rest [Tech Rest]

Many years ago I was working for an engineering firm. The tech rag of the day was PC Week. One week I didn’t read it and one of my coworkers brought up something that was in the magazine and it embarrassed me that I hadn’t heard about it. I decided I would do what I took so that would never happen again. Of course it has happened again, but the point is that we read news in part to be able to carry on a conversation with our friends about it. What better way to do that than digg? Adding digg to your news mix helps you rest easier because they talk about what’s hot.

What’s different about digg? What’s different about it is that the order of the stories is driven by the readers and not some editor in some dimly lit office somewhere. That way you read first what people are talking about the most. For a while, I’ve been reading tech news of digg, now I’ve started enjoying the other sections like Sports and Business as well. If you haven’t tried it, give digg a look.

What are your best news sources?
