New Online Note Service from EverNote [Ian's Messy Desk]

I downloaded and installed the latest version of EverNote Plus. In playing around with the new features, I came across a menu item to send clips to something called . I typed the address in my browser and came to a new on-line note-taking service called My.EverNote.

The features listed on the home page:

* Take Notes: Make a note out of anything - text, web pages, pictures and screenshots.
* Clip Anything: Our universal clippers for Windows and Mac - and click with a keyboard shortcut.
* Tag Notes: Add any number of tags to your notes and find them later.
* Find Notes: Search your notes, browse your tags, and find other’s public notes.
* Share Notes: Publish your notes to share with the world.

Unfortunately, the front page also says, “My.EverNote is currently in Alpha-release and registration is restricted. However, you can pre-register and we will invite you.” I’ve submitted my e-mail address and will patiently await an invitation.

My biggest beef with current online note services, is that they lack the functionality of EverNote on the desktop. While I don’t expect an online service to have all the features of a desktop client, if it comes anywhere close, it will be worth using.

my.EverNote.com - Welcome
